Enhanced Search Engine Marketing For Your Blog
May 3, 2009 by Brie
The SEM trend has changed and you need to take advantage of it! Every day more and more blogs are being created as mini news websites or content centers that contain significant information and links. It has become the search engine marketing trend.
In the past, search engines only visited major news websites, assuming they were the ones who were the ultimate source for the latest content to be found online. Blogs have now outpaced several media outlets online (yea!), due to their ability to deliver and publish fresh information to the public faster. This is key…
In order to get noticed by the search engines, you need to get your content published quickly. Search engines look for the freshest, more relevant and valuable information they can find. By publishing often, and well, you ensure the engines will come back to your blog more and more often to see what you have to offer. More search engine visits you get usually means the more real people you will get as a result.
Blogs have a natural relationship with the search engines, and being such a magnet, will attract the spiders more often if they detect an update from it. This results in your content being available to the searching public in a matter of hours or days, instead of potentially waiting months like you would with a traditional website set up.
As an example, I recently made a post under my Rambles category here at iBlogaholic about a cool tip for snagging dust bunnies out of tight places. When I checked Google for my latest page indexing, my dust bunny post was already indexed. It had only been 5 hours.
The result: There should now be no reason for anyone world wide to ever have another dust bunny!
